Matte Eyes

It is a known fact that if I'm wearing makeup, I will be wearing eye shadow because I love the stuff and I feel like my look is never complete without just that little something. Over the past few weeks I have discovered a new found love for matte eye shadow and I have been experimenting with several different products from the drugstore to really change up  my makeup on a daily basis. Today I am going to share just a few of my current favourite products that I've been using to create that matte eye look.

First up is the most recent addition to my collection, the shade Ivory from Seventeen may just look like an ordinary cream eyeshadow but it is so much more. I find a lot of lighter eyeshadows like this shade can be quite powdery but the formula of this one is beautiful, the product feels like silk to touch and the shade blends perfectly onto my eyes, working wonders at hiding redness and those tired eyes!

Essence Cosmetics are already very well known for their wonderful eyeshadows and I'm always running to the shade 15 hazel me not for those days where I fancy a hint of colour but not much. It's a really beautiful soft taupe that has a very similar texture to Ivory from Seventeen, very silky and smooth. I like this shade because its the perfect amount of colour, just enough and not too much. Also, these cost around £2 each so they're a complete bargain too!

I absolutely love cream eye shadow and  the MAC Paint Pots have set themselves a very good reputation over the past few years, they are brilliant and there are so many beautiful shades to choose from. I picked up the shade Quite Natural sometime last year and it is probably my perfect shade for daily wear. In pan it looks quite dark and slightly terrifying but you can really shear the product out to give a lovely, natural warm tone to the eyes, I love it and it lasts all day looking perfect from morning to evening.

Then we have a shadow I picked up for just £1 whilst browsing my local Poundland, make sure you check out the makeup section if you haven't already! The Maybelline Eyestudio in Chocolate Chic not only has a great name but has some seriously good pigmentation, considering it cost me a pound. It is just a very simple matte brown shade but its the longevity of this one that I love, it just doesn't seem to budge no matter what I'm doing.

Last but certainly not least is an eyeshadow I have been banging on about for what feels like years, Natural Collection Milk Chocolate has been one of my favourite shades for a very long time. Again I absolutely love the name (chocolate addict right here) and the colour of this eyeshadow is just so beautiful and warm. I use this all the time to create definition in the crease of my eye and it works wonders, it is the right balance of warmth as I find some eyeshadows can be that bit too warm, but this is just perfect. You will also be pleased to know that this one won't set you back more than £2, hurray!

What are your favourite matte eyeshadows?
