January Favourites

Hello February! Where on earth did January go?! It feels like Christmas was just yesterday but we are already into the second month of 2016, crazy. January wasn't the best start of the year, with ups and downs, a complete lack of motivation and far too much chocolate, I am eager to make February a much better month. Im going to kick start February with my first favourites post of the year, there are some really good products I have discovered and have been really enjoying so lets get started.

The cold weather in England over the past few weeks has really given my skin a bit of a headache,  I therefore have been reaching for my Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Booster a lot more than usual, I apply this every morning and every night without fail. I forgot how much I love this product, it sinks straight into my skin giving me a boost of hydration, my skin feels amazing and so nourished.

Quite a new edition to my makeup collection is the Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Pink Fizz palette which I am completely in love with at the moment. The palette has a beautiful selection of shades from neutral to bright, some with a gorgeous rosy undertone which I have been thoroughly enjoying, the shades are quite similar to those in the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. As expected from this brand, the shadows are all extremely buttery, pigmented and the lasting power is incredible.

Also thanks to the horrible weather I have been feeling a lot paler than I usually do, which is super pale! Loving Tan contacted me last year to see if I wanted to try their Deluxe Bronzing Mousse, I was a little apprehensive at first as I am not usually a regular false tan wearer but I'm so glad I got to try this. I still absolutely love my Cocoa Brown false tan but I also have found a new favourite in this brand. I've been using the mousse in the medium shade and this gives me that gorgeous olive toned, natural looking hint of colour to my skin, its easy to apply and so far I have been 100% streak free.

Over Christmas my beloved Urban Decay All Nighter ran completely dry on me, so instead of purchasing a new one I opted to finish up my MAC Fix + that I've had in my collection for quite a while now. Although this product isn't decided to set your makeup in place, that is the purpose I have been using it for, I spritz this over my skin once I have finished my makeup. I just really like how this product brings the life back to my skin, removes any powdery residue and leaves me feeling refreshed and hydrated. This product is also multi-purpose so it can be used to dampen beauty sponges, turn dry pigments into wet pigments and intensify eyeshadows.

I have two lip product favourites from January, the first being the Natural Collection Lipstick in Fig Leaf, a shade that I don't think I have ever heard anyone speak about before in the blogging world! I picked this up on a whim and I absolutely love it, the shade is perfect for me as it suits my skin tone so well, I have been opting for this on a daily basis recently as its so easy and such a pretty shade. Natural Collection is also such an affordable brand, their lipsticks only cost £1.99 each and for the quality you receive I think they are amazing, this shade in particular.

Then on the other end of the colour spectrum, my second lip product favourite is the Makeup Revolution Salvation Lip Laquer in Vamp, probably one of the darkest lip products I own! I really enjoyed wearing a dark, matte lip throughout January and this one fit the part perfectly. Velvet Vamp is a stunning deep purple shade, it has a super easy applicator to make the product really glide onto the lips and the lasting power of these is really great, definitely not what you would expect from a £2.99 product, thumbs up from me again Makeup Revolution.

Lastly, the lovely team at Beauty UK contacted me at the start of January to see if I would like to try their brand new Sweet Cheeks blush sticks, I checked them out online and knew they would be a product I'd really enjoy. The blush sticks are available in 6 shades but in particular my two favourites over the past few weeks have been Pink Pavlova, a bright, bubblegum pink and Turkish Delight, a more subtle, coral toned shade. The formula of these blush sticks is lovely, they are lightweight, airy and are effortless to apply whether that be using your fingers, a brush or beauty sponge. You can grab these right now from Beauty UK for just £3.99 per shade, there is also a beautiful champagne highlight shade in the collection too!

What have been your favourites throughout January?
