It's time to announce my first monthly favourites of 2015! I feel like my January actually went pretty slow, which makes a change, I don't always post a monthly favourites but this month I had a few bits and bobs that need to be shared. Most of the items I've picked this month were actually gifts at Christmas, which makes sense I guess, so you may have seen these products mentioned by me already in my What I got for Christmas post. Anyhow, if you're interested in seeing these products talked about in more detail just carry on reading!
I've always loved using dry shampoo, and I'm a fan even more after trying the new Batiste Strength & Shine Dry Shampoo which is displayed in this amazingly gorgeous mint packaging! You can pick up the full 200ml size for just £3.99 from Boots and I really love this one over any of the others. I have previously tried the original which I felt always left my hair looking a little chalky so I converted to the tinted formula which I loved and do still use, however this one adds shine to my hair and I honestly think it has become stronger after using this.
I've become very fond of makeup setting sprays or refreshing mists, I think they're so useful and the majority of the ones I've tried have really helped to keep my makeup looking great all day. Recently I've been loving the Vitamin E Face Mist by The Body Shop, an absolute bargain at just £8.50 which keeps my makeup looking dewy and lovely all day, however I do still use Urban Decay for long days or nights out. Vitamin E is very good for the skin, and I already use a lot of the range from TBS so I knew when receiving this I would love it also, it's great for on to go in its travel friendly size.
My absolute favourite beauty tools at the moment have to be my Zoeva Complete Eye Set which has completely taken over my collection. After trying brushes by Zoeva I feel like I don't want to use anything else on my eyes, these are so soft, such good quality but so affordable compared to brands such as MAC and Bobbi Brown. My set was purchases from BeautyBay.com and came in at a total cost of £52.95 which is quite a chunk to spend all at once but for 12 brushes, you're only paying around £5.00 per brush. I highly rate this set as it works out so affordable.
Now onto makeup, you may or may not have seen my post on my favourite lip combo featuring the MAC Creme Cup Lipstick and Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in East End Snob. These two products paired together quickly became my favourite thing ever, so I couldn't not feature them. I love the finish I achieve and I've had so many people asking me what I'm wearing. If you're new to MAC or are hesitating on buying Creme Cup seriously just do it, it's amazing.
Lastly I have two face products, the first being the MUA Pressed Powder in Shade 4, I picked this up in the MUA sale for around 50p and it's such a fab product. I was hearing a lot of people say they use it for contouring or bronzing on paler skin and when it was reduced in the sale I couldn't not pick one up. The shade is perefect for lighter skin tones and it's completely matte, an absolute dream to work with and leaves me feeling all sun kissed. Then my new favourite blush is by Makeup Revolution, its their £1 Powder Blush in Love, a beautiful everyday shade that I have been wearing non stop. Pair this with the bronzer and the lip combo and you're good to go.
