I'm a bit of an addict when it comes to concealer, forever on the hunt for the perfect consistency, coverage and texture. There are so many concealers I love and use on a daily basis but I hadn't yet found 'the one'. I like high coverage under my eyes but at the same time I don't want this turning cakey or dry. I received the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer for my birthday last year, so I've had a pretty good amount of time to test it out since May. At first I picked the shade Vanilla which after a few weeks of use I realised was a little too dark for me, so I decided to order myself Chantilly and I actually sold the shade Vanilla on the selling app, Depop.
The Radiant Creamy Concealer comes in at £22.00 from the NARS website or you can pick it up for £17.50 with free delivery from look fantastic. I've ordered from both of these websites before and both services were fab and the product 100% genuine. The concealer is available in 10 shades covering a variety of skin tones and undertones, Chantilly is the perfect shade for me and works extremely well under the eyes as it's ever so slightly lighter than my skin tone. The shade Chantilly is definitely lighter than my Mac Prolongwear in NC15 for anyone who wishes to compare.
The name given presents well, the product is extremely creamy, the consistency reminds me ever so slightly of the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer but with this one being thinner. The NARS concealer is quite thick but blends in to the skin beautifully and gives fantastic coverage with just one layer. I love the finish the concealer gives, it is a matte finish but it honestly looks flawless and covers all of my imperfections in one go. Using this under my eyes I do find it settles into my fine lines a tiny little more than if I was using a more hydrating, thinner consistency concealer but I did expect this as it is thicker than anything else I have tried. I do think it works under the eyes, just ensure you moisturise well before applying because once applied this really gives a lovely brightening effect.
I've used both the Real Techniques stippling brush and my beauty blender to apply this concealer and both work well, as well as just simple fingertips. I personally prefer and like to use the beauty blender, I feel it gives me the most flawless finish and ensures the concealer is completely blended in with no streaks, patches or lines. You can pick up a beauty blender dupe for under £5.00 here.
Overall I really do like this concealer, its perfect for giving me the full coverage I desire and the shade is exactly what I look for, I find it really difficult to find a concealer light enough for me! I still love my Mac Prolongwear and Collection concealers too, but this one has definitely been added to my favourites list and its a product I will be using a lot throughout 2015.
