You may or may not already know that I am a pretty big fan of the brand Bare Minerals, I really love their original products and I've used them for years. Over the past year or so, they have introduced the 'Ready' range to their brand, this includes face products and eye products, of course being such a fan, I had to try some! I actually tried the new Ready Foundation and hated it, which was very disappointing as I absolutely love the original foundation. A few weeks ago I picked up this gorgeous eyeshadow quad that I feel you all need to know about! The colours are beautiful and are well suited to everyday or around this time of year, the packaging is also super appropritate for Christmas time.
The palette is called 'The Main Event' which sounds to me as though it has been designed for Christmas time and is perfect to wearing to events! I love the packaging, it is so sleek and beautiful in this lovely gold colour, with a large mirror for applying on the go or whilst travelling. There are four eyeshadows in the palette, each at a fantastic size that will last you for a very long time.
The quality and texture of these eyeshadows is beautiful, they are so buttery and creamy to touch and they glide onto the eye so beautifully. You only need a very small amount to create intense pigmentation and thankfully, these don't produce any fall down that I've noticed!
As for the shades in this palette, included are..
Celebrate, a butter cream matte shade perfect for using as an everyday colour or as a brow bone highlighter.
Ball Gown, a nude pearl that has a slight champagne tone to it, the type of shade that will look gorgeous smudged under the eye or in the centre of the lid for Christmas sparkle.
Cheers, a platinum pearl colour in a more grey, taupe shade, I love this one and feel it would work so well as a transition colour or just through the crease for a more smokey look.
And finally we have Stiletto, my personal favourite in this quad, a beautiful chocolate plum shade with sparkle running through.
I am in love with all of these shades, there are so many different looks that can be created using just these four shades and I really can't get enough of the beautiful texture and consistency you get to work with. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for and if you're looking for soft, buttery eyeshadows that blend so easily you really don't even need to try, you need to pick up this palette, or another from Bare Minerals.
Have you tried any Bare Minerals eyeshadows?
