It's October! Halloween is nearly here!
It has actually been such a long time since I posted a monthly favourites post, it feels great to actually have a selection of products to share with you all. I hope I'm not posting this too late, we are already on the 5th of October, better late than never right?
Toni & Guy Cleanse Everyday Vitality Shampoo
I've been having a lot of trouble with my hair recently, I was using a shampoo by Tresemme that was actually making my hair greasy! I don't normally struggle with greasy hair so I knew it was the shampoo, I was having to wash my hair everyday to keep it fresh. I discovered the Toni & Guy hair range whilst in a Boots in London, i noticed that the name suggested it was just a basic, cleansing shampoo with no fancy claims. I absolutely love this shampoo, it is so refreshing and leaves my hair feeling silky soft, clean and nourished.
Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan
I didn't ever think I'd be including a fake tan in a favourites post, just because I've always found fake tan quite the task. I have suffered with dry skin for years therefore any tan I applied just seemed to grab to those areas, look patchy and just generally awful. Until the day I picked up Cocoa Brown, a body scrub and a decent tanning mitt. I LOVE this tan, it leaves a beautiful bronzed look after a few hours or if you're looking for a deeper tan it's absolutely fine to leave on overnight.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
Another fab product by Urban Decay, I've never tried this product because I was adminant it wouldnt work for my skin type or that it would break me out. However after loving the Mac Fix+ I decided to give it a go and ordered the 30ml travel size to try, this way it wouldn't feel like such a waste if it didn't work for me. I really do love this product, I can apply my makeup in the morning and it can still look pretty good at the end of the day, normally it would have worn off or gone patchy but the setting spray just sets it in place. I also really like the refreshing feel this gives once you've finished your makeup, it's truly lovely.
MAC 109 Small Contour Brush
I've not really been a fan or been drawn towards MAC brushes before because I find them quite expensive for what they are and there are so many good inexpensive brushes out there it's hard to justify spending £20+ on one brush. However I received this brush for my birthday this year and I've probably used it nearly everyday, it is great for exactly what the name suggests, contouring, if you're someone who struggles with contouring you should try this brush or one similar as it just does the work for you.
Bourjois Colour Edition Cream to Powder Eyeshadow 'Petale de Glace'
Falling back in love with cream eyeshadows made me realise how beautiful this product is, the colour is so pretty and creates the most beautiful eye look with absolutely no effort whatsoever. I like to use a fluffy blending brush to apply this all over the eyelid leaving a sheer hint of colour and shimmer or you can build the colour up for a more defined look. The finish of the eyeshadow dries into a powder but doesn't look powdery at all, simply gorgeous!
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
My new favourite face product, the coverage on this concealer is incredible and definitely worth the £22 price tag. This concealer works wonders on my skin, covering any imperfection without feeling heavy, cakey or drying. The only downside to this product is the packaging, being a glass tube means that you physically cannot use every last bit of the product, I do feel like there is still a hell of a lot of product in there but because of the design, it cannot be accessed.
