Rimmel The Only 1 Matte Lipsticks

Let's just say that I am a little bit of a lipstick lover and hoarder, no girl needs the amount of lipsticks I have in my collection but that certainly won't stop me buying more! Let me introduce you to the latest lipstick line from Rimmel London, The Only 1 Matte collection*. A collection of 9 beautiful shades ranging from nude to deep purple all in a creamy, soft, matte formula. Each shade is lovely and there is really something for everyone whether you're looking for a new everyday nude or a new deep burgundy for the winter months.

I really like the style packaging of the new lipsticks, very sleek and a little different looking, the matte plastic finish is great too. Each lipstick has a very useful colour strip at the base which shows you which shade is inside, a great little feature and very handy indeed. The bullet has been designed to make application easier which I think works really well, the shape and size fits the lip area nicely and allows the product to glide on smoothly and evenly.

The new lipsticks offer the perfect balance of high impact matte colour, moisture, all day comfort and fantastic staying power, I have to say I am very impressed. Each shade is incredibly pigmented and the colour sticks around for hours, it's definitely still there at the end of a long day which involves a lot of eating and tea drinking! I really like the matte lip look at the moment and its really nice to be able to achieve that look in so many different shades whilst keeping my lips moisturised and comfortable at the same time.

I've always been a big fan of Rimmel lipsticks and these are definitely a new favourite in my collection, their fantastic matte formulation and staying power has really won me over as well as the smart, sleek packaging design. My favourite shade has to be Trendsetter just because it is so perfect for everyday, I'm also really enjoying Salute for the days when I want something a little more pink.

The full range is available now from Boots and Superdrug retailing at £6.99 each.

Ultimate Contouring with Beauty UK

Contouring has to be one of the most popular things in the world of beauty right now. Every brand from drugstore to high end seems to be releasing their own specific contouring products, so whether you like creams or powders, there's something out there for every budget and style.

Beauty UK have released the Ultimate Contour Chubby Sticks which are available in four totally unique shades so you can really achieve your desired contouring goals. Contouring chubby sticks are very well known in the beauty world these days so its lovely to see a great brand like Beauty UK putting their own spin on the product. The chubby sticks are identical to the Sweet Cheeks Blush Sticks which I absolutely adore and reviewed earlier this year, so I had nothing but high hopes for the new contouring set.

The concept and design of the chubby sticks is great, they're easy to use when you're in a rush or if you're a beginner and they really do make the process of contouring a lot easier than it may seem. The product has a rounded tip and is the perfect size for those areas of need such as the forehead and cheekbones, you can simply swipe the product on and blend with your fingertips to achieve a gorgeous, natural look. Start gently with the product and add more gradually, remember its much easier to build than it is take away!

In terms of shades the kit includes two shades for contouring and two shades for highlighting, all of which will work really well on very pale and darker complexions, there really is something for everyone. Included in the kit you have No.1 Medium Contour a lighter and more warm toned brown shade that works really nice to bronze the skin as well as contour, then there is the shade No.2 Dark Contour a cooler toned darker shade of brown. Onto the highlighting shades there is No.3 Beige Highlight which is matte and No.4 Shimmer Highlight which I think is my personal favourite, the shade is beautiful and gives my skin such a dewy glow.

When it comes to quality and pigmentation the product really doesn't disappoint, although the darker shades can seem a little scary on initial application, they blend into the skin like a dream. The formula is creamy, blendable and soft like silk meaning you can apply more than one layer without the worry of patchiness or build up of colour. I've been really impressed with the longevity of these cream products, I don't believe you need to set them with a powder to ensure they last all day however of course this is individual to different skin types and daily activities!

Overall the chubby sticks are easy to use, definitely do the job they claim and are super affordable at just £4.99 for all four shades available directly from Beauty UK.

Changing My Lifestyle

I was always the person who hated the gym and vegetables, I would skip PE at school and avoid walking where possible, in summary I was pretty lazy. Over the past year I have completely changed my lifestyle for the better and I feel incredible. I have come to realise that being fit and healthy is so important both physically and mentally and it is now something I am truly passionate about and I wanted to share this with you.

Eating a balanced and nutritional diet is now part of my daily routine and I love it, I enjoy food so much more since eating things that are good for me and give me energy. I look forward to all of my meals and particularly enjoy eating vegetables, I find myself with a plate full every evening and there are so many to choose from, the variety is endless. I found that I lost weight when I cut down on consumption of carbohydrates and sugar, I would previously eat far too much of things like chips, rice, bread, chocolate and crisps which in reality weren't doing my body any good, just making me feel bloated and lethargic. Being healthy and happy is all about balance and I can still treat myself to my favourite things, I mean what girl doesn't love a cheeky piece of Dairy Milk Oreo?!

In terms of exercise, I have never been interested in attending a standard gym so I decided to look into gym classes which is when I discovered Clubbercise, an hour of fun cardio dance workout to the latest chart hits. I absolutely love going to Clubbercise and I now go to two or three classes a week, it's become one of my hobbies and it doesn't even feel like you're going to do a workout. I also go to gym classes such as Piloxing which is a combination of pilates, boxing and dance as well as Boogie Bounce, a cardio workout performed on a mini trampoline.

I also invested in a Fitbit last year and I hands down have to say its one of the best things I have ever purchased. I wear the Fitbit Charge HR which has the heart rate sensor that makes your data more accurate and specific to you. Although it's not the prettiest of arm candy it's worth its waiting gold and it keeps me motivated to be up, about and moving instead of sitting around, it's actually slightly addictive and the challenges you can have against friends and family make it really fun.

Since changing my lifestyle I am such a happier and more confident person, I can wear clothes that I feel good in and I can even run up the stairs without becoming short of breath!

How do you stay fit and healthy?

Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box

I have tried a fair few different beauty box subscriptions since being a beauty blogger, some that have been absolutely wonderful and others that weren't so great. Look Incredible is a brand that offer different variations on their beauty boxes, I've previously reviewed their standard beauty box but today I will be taking a look at their deluxe edition. The Look Incredible Standard Beauty Box retails for £18.99 and the Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box* retails a little higher at £35.00.

The deluxe edition, as expected, is a complete luxury and contains five full size products from well known and reputable brands that you will love. The standard beauty box still contains some amazing products but if you're looking for high end, luxury brands then you'll definitely want to try this edition. Inside this months box I discovered the following lovely products and brands...

Things That Make Me Happy

I'm going to be honest in that last week was a bit of a different week with highs and definite lows, my kitty was quite poorly and it was really heartbreaking and tough to see her in such a way. Thankfully Tiggy is now on the road to recovery but after reflecting, I have realised how important it is to be happy, positive and motivated to get through the tough times. We all experience rubbish days, weeks and even months and thats perfectly normal but its so important to understand the things that really make you happy, to keep yourself positive and maintain your mental health. So today I am turning to this post to reflect on the things that make me happy.
